Highly contagious viral diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) and other emergency animal diseases are a critical threat to the Australian agricultural industry.
Our mission is to develop a tool that uses artificial intelligence to determine the likelihood of FMD or LSD presentation in cattle.
The problem worth solving
Most Australian cattle producers and their staff have never seen FMD or LSD in real life. Australian agricultural workers need to be alert for signs of disease within their livestock and be able to identify signs and symptoms quickly. RemoteVet.ai helps:
- Lack of expertise and people in front line animal health surveillance and disease recognition, particularly in Northern Australia
- Speed of disease identification, triage, testing and diagnosis and the impact to the spread of this disease and cost to the industry
- Lack of responsive digital tools available to complement current training materials

How it works
RemoteVet.ai is a tool which uses machine learning technology to calculate the probability that a cow is presenting symptoms of emergency diseases, by comparing its appearance to thousands of images of cows with and without specific diseases.
